Jessica Stacko - Artist
Jessica Stacko is an artist from Downers Grove, IL who does everything from conceptual work, landscapes, and travel photography.
Her work shows heart and dedication to the craft of artistry. Her travel photography is beautiful. Capturing the life and essence of nature. One image shows the smooth white waves of the water crashing against the rocks. A black and white shot looking up at a mountain range puts the viewer in the eye of the beholder.
With her travel photography Jessica takes advantage of her use of angles and capturing moments without staging them. She captures the beauty that nature and this world holds.
As an artist capturing a moment is the key to everything. Jessica thrives during these moments and has a very keen sense on what she wants projected. Her use of digital formats combined with actual real life photographs add that additional creativity to her work.
A piece that stands out specifically is the image of the women looking down and her arms are wings of a bird. There are feathers that are falling off of the black wings and floating into the air. She has a fascination with birds and humans that is shown throughout her work. This is really seen in her conceptual work which she says was a major influence in her high school years.
