Failure Is Natural

Failure is a part of life. Life has its ups and its downs. There is no such thing as a perfect person. The only thing we can do as humans is to progress everyday. It's easy to let failure kill your motivation and make you stop yourself from achieving your goals. Just remember, nothing great comes easy. Life will give you a lot of obstacles for you to go through. Those obstacles can stop you from where you wanted to go. They can become a roadblock that will be a tough challenge in your life. You can either turn away from it, or figure out how to go through it. This is a mindshift, instead of thinking about the roadblock as obstacles that block you. Think of it this way, the roadblocks are not there to see me out, they are there to see how bad I want it. Evel Knievel, the world famous stuntman had his sure set of failures. In 1975, Evel Knievel attempted to ride his motorcycle and jump over 13 single-deck London buses. He was in front of 90,000 people when Evel went up in the air and crashed. Knievel broke his pelvis, then got on the microphone and stated:

He had retired his career as a professional stuntman in that instant. Later that year, despite announcing his retirement Evel Knievel decided he would jump again. Knievel successfully jumped over 14 Greyhound buses in front of thousands of people. This would be known as the Kings Island Jump. Evel Knievel experienced failure and although at the moment he quit, he didn’t let that failure get the best of him and he became successful. He let his failure became a part of his experience in which he learned from to make his second attempt successful. Evel Knievel was successful in his second jump, and that won't always be the case. Sometimes you will give it your all on the second attempt. The point is that each failure births a learning experience. Sometimes you will have to repeat your attempts until you finally succeed. This is the mentality winners have, they understand that losing is a part of the process to win. You learn from your failures and you take what you learned to try it all over again. Eventually, success will find its way to you, just like it did in Evel Knievel's case. Another failure to success story is the story of Conor McGregor. Conor McGregor is a UFC mixed martial arts fighter that has made his way to being the most popular and successful fighter in MMA history. Conor and his wife put everything on the line for his MMA career. Conor trained every day with no day off to ensure that he will be a powerhouse in the UFC. Conor McGregor worked hard from the moment he entered the UFC and become the UFC Featherweight Champion after defeating Jose Aldo at UFC 194. This was a great victory for Conor as he achieved his lifelong dream of attaining a title belt in the MMA. Conor McGregor’s next fight was at UFC 196 when he faced Nate Diaz. Nate Diaz got the best of McGregor and submitted McGregor in the second round giving McGregor his first loss in the UFC. Everybody thought Conor McGregor was done with fighting and that he would never come back to the UFC. Connor went back to his foundation and learned from his loss to understand his own flaws to get better. He trained even harder after his loss to prove that he can yet once again ,WIN.

Then, UFC 202 came around and McGregor had a rematch with Nate Diaz and defeated him in a five round fight. McGregor then went on to beat Eddie Alvarez later that year and became the UFC Lightweight Champion. This was huge in the MMA world. McGregor becomes the first UFC fighter to ever become a champion in two different weight divisions at the same time.

McGregor achieved one of the highest achievements in UFC history, but had to overcome his failures in order to get to the place he is. That would've never happened if Connor decided to quit after his first loss. Don’t let the failure in your life ruin your goals and your ambitions. When you work hard and stay motivated to your goal. What Connor and Evel both understand that you don't see your mistake looking forward, you see them looking back. that's how you learn and improve so that you can keep moving forward with progression.

You never know what is shining on the other side. Just remember, the roadblocks are not there to see me out. They are there to see how bad I want it.
